We are thrilled to release the new Vivo Music website, complete with our new branding, online catalogue, Blog and online ordering/payment features.
The drivers for the website redesign were as follows:
- To refresh the Vivo branding.
- To help streamline the enquiry process so you can check what’s on offer without phoning or emailing.
- To provide price visibility so you don’t have to enquire about pricing before ordering.
- To allow more payment options over and above EFT payment.
- To introduce a Blog through which we plan to keep you up to date with company, industry and community news.
While we don’t want to lose the personal touch, it’s become apparent that the communication involved in placing orders can be cumbersome, especially for people looking for a one specific title. Emailing or phoning to enquire about price, availability and delivery options is unnecessarily complicated. This can now all be managed through the website, although we’re only too happy to chat if you would prefer not to speak to one of the Vivo team. Another aspect of the updated website rationale is the provision of price visibility. Although supplier prices do vary along with exchange rate fluctuations, we will try and limit the number of price changes.
How to use the site?
We hope the site is fairly self-explanatory and easy to use. Search for books using the search bar at the top of the page, or by browsing the “Sheet Music” categories from the main menu. When viewing search results or browsing a category, use the filter categories on the left of the page to further refine you results.
An aspect of search and browse features which may not be immediately apparent, but which is very useful, is the ability to click through to book categories from the details of a one book. The image below shows the details of a Trinity theory workbook, and you can see in the that many of the book details can be clicked which will show you the full set of books under that category. For example if you click on “Trinity College London Theory” as highlighted in the image, you will be shown the full list of Trinity theory books. Similarly you can click on many of the other descriptive labels.
Ordering
Add books to your “Shopping Cart” and then check out to place your order. You can choose whether to make immediate online payment or to receive and invoice via email and pay later via EFT.
For customers placing bulk orders, for example many of our school customers, you can optionally use the “Bulk Order Form” page which you can access by clicking the link found under “Your Account” in the page footer. The Bulk Orders page presents the catalogue in a grid, making it easier to add multiple books to your cart in one go.
Collection and Delivery (Home or School)
When checking out, choose whether to collect your books (we’ll write more about collection options later) or to have them delivered.
Many of our deliveries are made to schools, but increasingly more of our customers choose to have their books delivered to them residential addresses. If you’re ordering a book and would like it delivered to your child’s school, be sure to fill in the name of the school and name of your child in the box provided (at the bottom of the checkout page) as shown here. There is no need to complete the “ship to different address” section, simply provided the school name in the box provided.
Payment
After finalizing your billing and delivery options, choose either to “pay now”, or receive your invoice over email and pay later. If you choose to pay later, we will arrange delivery or collection when we see your payment appear in our accounting system.
