Symphony No.2 – Theme

This is the Theme from the third movement of Rachmaninov’s brilliant Symphony No.2, arranged here by Nicholas Hare as a wonderful Piano Solo.

Rachmaninov was one of the greatest Pianists and his music seems to smoulderwith passion and a forboding power. Then occasionally, with or without warning, it flares briefly and spectacularly. This piece is no different and demonstrates his sublime compositional skill.
